• Theme: The game is focused on the "grim and gritty" adventures on the fringes of the Star Wars universe, exploring the lives of characters who live outside the law, such as smugglers, bounty hunters, and outlaws.
• Setting: It is set shortly after the destruction of the first Death Star, during the time of the original Star Wars trilogy. Players can engage in adventures in the Outer Rim and other remote locations, which are often overlooked by the Galactic Empire.
