"A horror comedy that follows in the footsteps of Peter Jackson" Mad Movies

Confined to house arrest in the home where she grew up, Kylie Bucknell finds her sentence all the more unbearable because she has to serve it with her mother, Miriam, a well-meaning chatterbox who is convinced that the house is haunted.

Kylie sees her mother’s superstitions as nothing more than a distraction from a routine of boiled vegetables and provincial gossip.

But when she, too, begins to hear unsettling whispers and strange bumps in the night, Kylie wonders if she has inherited her mother's overactive imagination or if the house is indeed haunted by a hostile spirit that is not particularly happy about her return.
